There seems to always be a time frame in the year where just everything goes wrong. You struggle and no matter what there is always something that happens which seems to make everything worse. It’s this time when you feel that the universe is just having a go at you by throwing everything it can your way.
Well, it picked a fight with the wrong girl. However, it’s really not easy.
Coming to a new country meant my world got turned upside down. There are friends and family to take into the equation now, more then ever. While it is hard to schedule and plan your day and work around eating healthy and working out, it adds a whole new layer for me to deal with. Specially if the surrounding situation makes it difficult money wise.
First of all, learning that it normally takes from anywhere from 2 to 6 month to get an appointment with a Neurologist from the official national health care system was a bit of a shock. Specially since I have around 1 month of medicine left. We hopefully found a solution though. Of course it means we will have to cover some of the costs ourselves.
Then stress led to low energy levels which in turn led to bad eating habits and not enough energy for workouts which in turn again made me feel bad for not working on my health. It’s a bit of a vicious circle which can get out of hand quite fast.
On top of this my Brazil Butt Lift doesn’t work any more and I think that any other program would be too harsh on me both time and stress wise. We are also still missing quite a few things for the office and the living room but time will hopefully bring those and improve our current situation 🙂
However, due to work related issues it seems my Lhermitte’s Sign is back and I’ll have some new MRIs taken at the start of September. I am actually a bit scared and hope they come back clean. Stress is never good for anyone but I fear it might have taken its toll on me. At least, if that is the case, I know I did everything I possible was able to, to make sure I am in a good position should I have to do some hospital treatment 🙂
I also looked through all the MRIs I already have and it’s collection of test results MRI, ultrasound and cat scans. We will eventually need a special cupboard to store all of those.
Add to this that MS patients generally have a tendency to feel like a burden to the people around them (and I am not an exception). It makes life more complicated in any situation and I am certainly not helping ours with having all this special stuff we need to take care of and look into. I know that Henning doesn’t mind but it makes me feel horrible right now.
Well, not every entry can be about sunshine and butterflies so this is my “every coin has two sides”-post for this year. Hopefully I won’t have to make a second one! *fingers crossed*
On a positive note though: I cut my hair and it’s not only more healthy looking, it’s also lower maintenance and less hassle overall.
I think I am going to do some Kinect today. Either Zumba or UFC Personal Trainer and see how it goes 🙂
Hang on in there, Tascha! Everything will be fine sooner or later as you settle in. 🙂
Also, you’re a lovely girl and I’m sure you’re far, far more a joy to have around than a burden. So try not to feel bad!
I am a bit of a downer at the moment. Feeling overwhelmed doesn’t help but the positive aspect of this is that it can only get better 🙂
I keep my fingers crossed (and I’m sure of it) this is the worst you’ll ever have to post 🙂 On a side note – I love new haircut!
Thanks for both! I kinda feel like it’s making me look younger again (which is a good thing!! ;))
Hi Tascha *waves*
Moving homes is very stressful but moving countries is bound to be over whelming not only for the mind but for the body as well. Give your self time to adjust and pamper your self. Dont beat yourself up for not keeping to your routines of fitness. As much as I admire your strength and what you have achieved I do worry that you may be burning yourself out a little. Ive recently learned that lesson and earned a week in hospital.
Keep your chin up Sweetie ok. hugs n stuff. You even need to vent you know how to contact me x
Wendy~
I can totally relate to this post. Although, I have not had the same issues as you wuth regards to moving and such, I can identify with stress and crappy eating for sure. My past two weeks have originated from hell I believe, and it has taken a toll on my clean eating and workouts. I am hoping to get my butt back on track this Monday!
